As a service provider, we are responsible for our own content on these pages in accordance with general law pursuant to § 7 para. 1 TMG. When you browse the site

We do not use tracking cookies or analytics. No personal data is collected simply by visiting TrueCity.

When you sign up as a local guide

We collect: your first and last name, email address, neighbourhood, languages spoken, and the bio you write. This data is stored securely in our database (Supabase, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany).

When you add a place

We store the place name, category, neighbourhood, address, coordinates, and your personal recommendation note. This content is publicly visible on the site.

When you submit a report

We store the reported content ID and the reason for the report. No personal information is required to submit a report.

3. Why we collect this data

Your data is used solely to operate the TrueCity platform — to display local guide profiles and recommendations to visitors. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising or any other commercial purpose.

4. Legal basis

Data processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (performance of a contract / pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in operating the platform).

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on Supabase servers located in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). Supabase is GDPR-compliant. Data is stored for as long as your guide account is active. You can request deletion at any time.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to: access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to processing, and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at thamidislamshabab@gmail.com.

7. Third-party services

1. About TrueCity

TrueCity (truecity.eu) is a community platform that helps people discover authentic city experiences through recommendations from local residents. The platform is operated by Mohammed Tahmid Islam, Coburg, Germany.

2. Using the site as a visitor

Anyone can browse TrueCity without registration. The content on this site is provided for informational purposes only. TrueCity does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or current status of any recommendation.

3. Becoming a local guide

By signing up as a local guide, you confirm that you are a resident of the city you are signing up for and that all information you provide is accurate and truthful. You are responsible for the content you submit.

4. Content guidelines

As a local guide, you agree not to submit content that is:

• False, misleading, or inaccurate
• Spam, promotional, or commercially motivated
• Offensive, discriminatory, or harmful
• In violation of any third party's rights

TrueCity reserves the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines without notice.

5. Intellectual property

By submitting content to TrueCity, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your recommendations on the platform. You retain ownership of your content.

6. Limitation of liability

TrueCity is provided "as is". We are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the platform, or from reliance on any recommendation listed on the site.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by German law. The place of jurisdiction is Coburg, Germany.

What cookies are set

Essential cookies only

Third-party cookies

OpenStreetMap map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap's servers. OpenStreetMap may set its own cookies in accordance with their privacy policy. Google Fonts are loaded from Google's servers — Google may set cookies in accordance with their privacy policy.
